Louise Orrell, founder and director
Louise has spent her career leading the teams that keep buildings running. She led engineering teams at Honeywell, ran national maintenance operations at Carillion, and has since helped businesses such as NG Bailey and British Gas get the right engineer to the right job at the right time. Along the way, she learned how valuable a great trade is, and how hard one can be to find when you need them.
She now sees it as a client too. As a property investor renovating homes across Greater Manchester, she knows how much a project depends on finding the right trade at the right time. Louise is also Group Director of the Stockport Grafters Super Group, where she regularly meets local trades and property professionals.
Col Bucknor, co-founder and director
Col is a licensed tiler who has run his own business, Col Bucknor Tiling, since 1984. He specialises in wall and floor tiling, floor screeding and waterproofing, and has worked on everything from family bathrooms to whole-house renovations.
For 20 years he ran Phone-a-Tiler in Australia. He led a team of trained tilers on domestic, commercial and industrial projects, from homes to Olympic aquatic centres and competition swimming pools. Now back in the UK, Col brings four decades on the tools to AHQ. He knows what separates a good trade from a great one: turning up when they say, taking pride in the finish and leaving a job clean. He brings that eye to every trade we consider.
